Work Experience + Beauty Reviews

Bonjour, I've realized I haven't blogged in a while and as you can tell from the title I have a few things to blog about. I've just finished my first week of work experience so I'm going to write about that and I'm also going to do reviews on some beauty products which will hopefully be helpful to some people.
As I said, I just finished my first week of work experience which, for those who don't know, is when our school gives us three weeks to go to work places of our choice and see what jobs we'd be interested in pursuing. My first week was in my old primary school and I'm doing my next two weeks in a creche because I want to work with children. It was so amazing going back to my primary school and it was done so that I got to go to four different classes a day to watch the teacher do their thing and help, if need. Since the younger class need more help, I was in a Senior Infants class (5-6 year olds) in the morning, a split of Junior/Senior Infants (4-6 year olds) after break, 1st Class (6-7 year olds) after lunch then 5th Class (10-11 year olds) from 2 till 3 o'clock. I absolutally loved every minute of it, I got to read with the younger kids and help them with their maths, all that kinda stuff. I've always wanted to work with kids but now I'm positive that it's 100% what I want to do. You need so much patients with them and creativity. I didn't do much when I was in with the 5th class but it was still good, most of the time I was sticking pictures on the wall but they were so funny. They'd make cheeky remarks and the teacher would give out but they'd be hilarious. Being back made me realize how old I am, I'm not saying that I think I'm ancient but the last time I was in the school the 5th class were in 1st class! I remember them all being so small but now there are some that are nearly the height of me!
Working with the younger kids was brilliant, they'd get so excited about the simplest things, for example in the senior infants class they were getting an envelope with pictures that they had to match together and the teacher said "We're going to do something really fun now, you're all going to get an envelope" and they all gasped with excitement over an envelope! But it's not just the kids that amused me, the teachers were pretty funny as well, one was reading his class a story and he was getting so into it, he was putting on voices and singing all funny which got all the kids interested and I just found it so funny. There is also the more boring side to it like photocopying loads of pages loads of times and then cutting up lots of words and putting them all into the kids folders but I didn't mind doing that. The thing I found most fun was when I was helping the junior/senior infants paint. They were doing patterns using paint and sponges but they didn't have enough sponges for the whole class so there was one table painting and when one person was finished, another would come, paint and so on and so forth. I got paint on my shoes and in my hair, and because they were using sponges all the paint was absorbed by the sponges in minutes so I was running back and forth with different coloured paint to refill the bowls as children were handing me their wet paintings and sponges full of paint were being dropped everywhere. I would have loved to do another week there, I enjoyed it so much and it's defiantly something I'd love to do when I'm older.
When on work experience I wore makeup everyday so I really got to test my product's will power over the week. I use the Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation which I've been using for a while and I think it's pretty good, it gives a good coverage and a dewy finish which I don't really like so I use my Rimmel London Stay Matte powder over it which I love, it just mattes everything, it stays really well and it smells quite nice. Today I used my Maybelline Colour Tattoo in ''On and On Bronze'' which is really good. I have oily eyelids so things usually crease easily but this didn't which is amazing and it's a really nice colour and there were a good few different colours so I may be buying a few more.
During the week I was always so tired after the day and being a lazy teenager I hate taking off my makeup but it has to be done and done properly. Girls always say they do take off their makeup but they still might not have the best skin and that might be because they're not taking it off properly. I use to just wipe it off with a baby wipe which I knew was wrong so I looked on YouTube for quick ways to get my makeup off but the products they use are sometimes quite expensive so I started using the Boots Essentials Cucumber Range which are cheap, they do the job and they smell nice, and they also do a fragrance free range. I start by using the Moisturising Lotion to take off my foundation, I just massage it into my skin using my hands for a few minutes then I wash it all off with warm water and a facecloth, it makes my skin feel so clean and it's way better for your skin then a baby wipe. I then use the Eye Make-Up Remover Gel which I put on a cotton pad and leave it on my eyes for a minute, it just loosens everything and makes it so easy to wipe away and it doesn't sting or anything. When I have all that done I use the Facial Toner, I just pour some onto a cotton pad and gently wipe it over my face, it just gets rid off all the makeup that gets left deep in the skin, I feel it's so important to use toner because even if you've scrubbed your face with a cloth, if there's dirt left in your pores you'll get spots. I've also started using the Moisturising Cream because I didn't moisturise and people are always saying you have to do it but I think it depends on the person and their skin. I have combination skin which means it's oily and dry so I only moisturise once every two days and I only use a tiny bit only on the center of my face because I don't need it anywhere else. If I use to much my skin gets oily but if I don't use it my skin gets dry, so I think everyone should decide themselves on how much mosturiser they need, I do think everyone needs to moisturise though even if you have oily skin, they do make moisturisers for oily skin so there's no excuse!
Woah, that post was longer then I was expecting but that should be enough to make up for the fact I haven't blogged in a while. I'd also like to say I'm not saying that if you take off your makeup properly you'll have flawless skin but it might help, I don't have anything near perfect skin but it's manageable. I really hope you enjoyed this post and that the reviews were helpful to some people and I'd also like to wish everyone doing work experience the very best. Thanks for reading :)
This is a drawing I got from a girl who called me ''Pretty Triona" for the whole week, cutie

Nananananananana Batman!

Hello, so this year for Christmas I got The Dark Knight Rises from Santa and it inspired me to write this blog post. Batman is my favourite superhero and The Dark Knight is my all time favourite movie. I think I've seen all of the Batman movies and Christian Bale is my favourite actor to play Batman. I think the thing I love about Batman is that he is human and that's all there is. Most other superheros look like humans but have some kind of power but Batman just has money and gadgets, and I know Iron Man is only human as well but he has a super suit and he uses guns when Batman doesn't. Since I've seen all or most of the Batman movies I have a lot to talk about.
My favourite of the Batmans are the Christian Bale trilogy because he brings a darkness to the character, and in these movies it really builds a character. The first of the trilogy, Batman Begins, focuses on creating Batman and explaining why he became Batman and it went into Bruce Wayne's past. No other movie explains and creates the Batman character as much as this trilogy. The creators did a great job in making a great beginning, middle and end to Batman in the trilogy. The Dark Knight is my favourite movie because I absolutally love the Joker, he's my favourite villain of all time and Heath Ledger did an amazing job with this character and it was a tragedy to lose such an amazing actor who was so young. I love a villain who is absolutally mental but in this movie it really focuses on how some people don't have a reason to be bad, they just do it for the fun. The Dark Knight, again, just builds a story line for the Batman movies. Then the Dark Knight Rises is probably the best ending to the movie trilogy that any Batman fan could have asked for, it's thrilling, it's fast and a little scary because, to be honest, Bane is sort of terrifying, but again he is a great villain and Tom Hardy was the best actor for the job. And I love the idea as a police man being a hero as well because it supports my idea of Batman being only human, and I think the Joseph Gordon-Levitt was a great person to play the sidekick, his character was so caring and he help so much with saving everyone. Also Anne Hathaway is amazing in it, she plays Catwoman so well, she's sly, she's beautiful and she's highly skilled and just badass!
I'm almost certain that the first Batman film ever made was Batman (1966) which I've seen and it is ridiculous, the acting is terrible and you could tell it was all fake and I know it was 1966 but they could have done better. Then there were the two Michael Keaton Batman movies, Batman (1989) and Batman Returns. I know Michael Keaton is an amazing actor but I just didn't think he was a very good person to play Batman, I just wasn't feeling it for him. Although, I think Jack Nicholson was an amazing person to play the Joker in Batman (1989). He brought everything I liked to the character but I just think Heath Ledger made the Joker character more modern and evil. The second of the Keaton Batman movies, Batman Returns, had Michelle Pfeiffer as Catwoman and she was amazing. Like Anne Hathaway she was sly and skill and she looked amazing. It also had Danny DeVito as the Penguin and this character scared the hell out of me, he's so creepy looking and just pure weird.
There was then two other Batman movies, Batman Forever and Batman and Robin, which are a sequel but with Val Kilmer playing Batman in Batman Forever and George Clooney playing him in Batman and Robin. Jim Carrey plays the Riddler in Batman Forever and he does a really good job at playing a villain but again, I'm not sure in the choice of actor to play Batman. I think, personally, that Batman and Robin is a good movie but when it came out it got a lot of bad press saying it was one of the worst movies ever. I think it just takes a different approach at the Batman character, it doesn't talk about his dark past and I think there had to be one movie that we didn't feel bad for him the whole way through. The villains in this movie are Poison Ivy played by Uma Thurman and Mr. Freeze played by Arnold Schwarzenegger. I wasn't to fond of Mr. Freeze, although I do wonder how long it took for Arnold Schwarzenegger to get ready, but I did love Poison Ivy. I think I just liked her hair and her makeup but Uma Thurman was amazing in it and looked stunning the whole way through the movie.
Woah, that was longer then I was expecting but that is my blog post on Batman finished. This post was about eight movie reviews in one! If there is one of the movies that I mentioned that you haven't seen I do recommend that you watch it. Thanks for reading :)
